BIG DREAMS IN LITTLE HOPE is a smart new comedy in the form of a classic road movie with a lesbian twist. Kelly (Emily Burton, Out at the Wedding) is a market researcher with aspirations to be a television news reporter. She’s shipped off to Little Hope to gather data for her job, accompanied by Linda (Julie Goldman, Logo’s “The Big Gay Sketch Show”), her talkative cameraperson.
The hilarity begins when the local hotel runs out of rooms and this mismatched pair must bunk at a youth hostel. Linda fits right in, but Kelly’s not happy – particularly when Linda hooks up with her now straight and married former flame (Emma Bowers). Finally, Linda complicates matters by suggesting that they showcase their talents by filming a human interest piece at the local annual Chili Cook-Off.
Full of warmth and humor, Erin Greenwell’s odd couple buddy movie is a unique tale of friendship, self-acceptance and hope.
